Derma Fillers
Dermal fillers are one of the most popular facial rejuvenation treatments that we offer at Moud Aesthetics. It is highly effective anti-ageing treatment with instant results and virtually no down-time. We use hyaluronic acid dermal filler to enhance the cheeks, lines between the nose and mouth, and to naturally augment the lips.
Lip Filler
-
Lip fillers, also known as lip augmentation, enhance your lips and result in more volume, contour and definition - depending on the clients desired effect. They reduce the appearance of fine lines, give you fuller lips and a more youthful appearance.
We all have hyaluronic acid in our bodies, it gives our skin the elasticity and plumpness that in turn gives us our youthful appearance. Our fillers are produced as a gel and they do not contain animal or human DNA which means they are one of the safest fillers on the market today.

Avoid planning any work or social events 2-7 days after treatment in case of swelling and bruising.
Medicines to possibly discontinue 7 days before your treatment. Please check with your doctor first if you are taking medicines for medical reasons. Some medicines make your blood thinner (less likely to clot) and cause bruising e.g. Excedrin, Ibuprofen, St John's Wort, Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin E, Paracetamol, Ginseng and Alcohol.
Try eating pineapple 2-3 times prior to your treatment (pineapple is a natural anti-inflammatory).
Take Arnica tablets 2-3 days prior to treatment (not if you have high blood pressure).
If you are prone to cold sores, and this is the area you are having treated, get your GP to prescribe Zovirax tablets or ask about other tablets/creams to prevent cold sores prior to your treatment.

Some common injection-related reactions may occur, such as swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, itching and discolouration at the injection site. The intensity and duration of your filler side effects will depend on individual healing characteristics, but can normally last for 1 to 2 weeks after treatment.
Remember, it can take 1-14 days for the results of cosmetic treatments to fully ‘settle in’. You should expect to be swollen for 7-14 days. You will need to wait until the healing time is finished before you can see the full result, size and shape of your fillers.
Sometimes swelling can make the lips appear uneven. If this happens please be patient and as the swelling goes down the lips appear even again.
Try to avoid alcohol 24 hours after treatment as alcohol can cause bruising.
Avoid excessive sun or heat until any initial swelling and redness have subsided (avoid sun-beds for 1 week).
Avoid squeezing and massaging the area for at least 24 hours as this could subtly change the results.
Do to take any Aspirin or Ibuprofen for 2 days after your treatment.
If you have swelling, apply a cold compress to the area for the first 2 days.
Most lumps and bumps in the first week are just fluid or some bruising at the injection site and will disappear quickly. If you feel lumpy spots after the first 48 hours, push on the spot with continual pressure for 1 minute. Repeat 5 times a day. This is called ‘massage’ and helps resolve bruising, swelling and lumps.
To keep fillers soft, begin to massage them 2 days after treatment, once a day for 2 weeks.
If you have excessive swelling in the first 24-48 hours, you can minimise this with Antihistamine tablets such as Benadryl.
